Greetings Ocarina! Tonight is just a random blog post about me doing random stuff in life, because why not?? I'm also waiting for my alliance roulette while I'm typing this away. I'm currently leveling my GNB and DRG, so I'll see if I can get it to 80 before Endwalker. Anyway, enough of FFXIV, shall we??
During September, my friend and I were craving for some Chinese cuisine, but specifically Szechuan dishes. Fall was coming, so that means it's the perfect time to grab some spicy food (≡^∇^≡) Since my friend is born from Szechuan, I told her we should try this restaurant out and see if it meets her standards. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves since people are still doing take outs quite a bit, but that means we get decent services and we don't need to feel uncomfortable with other people being around us (cause you know...COVID/Delta +).
This is our first appetizer and it's pigs' ears. I know it sounds odd, but, I love it and I live for this dish **♡( ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎ )My friend enjoyed this dish and said this is definitely authentic Szechuan, so I was pretty happy that this restaurant reminded her of her hometown.
Next, we ordered some shrimps. The meat was super tender and delicious!!
However... the best dish goes to our main entree \\\(۶ ᐛ )۶////!! We got halibut fillets, black fungus, and bean curds HAHAHA once again, this might sound gross to some people, but this was truly delicious and spicy!! It was incredibly flavorful and the halibuts were cooked perfectly. Looking at this photo makes me drool...
Once we're done with dinner, we decided to grab dessert. This parking lot totally doesn't look sketch... and that pig cop graffiti, so classy.
When I mean grabbing dessert, it was spending some quality time together while drinking bubble tea (and some of you guys would call it boba tea).
Few weeks ago, Sas and I went to go visit a Waffle dessert place. It was very cute and the waffles were very good, except... I thought my ice cream was maybe way too sweet (it's coffee flavor too). I wish they serve some savory waffles and not just dessert ones ( ;∀;)
Then Sas brought me over to a park and we did a nice stroll. The weather was very nice and it wasn't too cold yet. Look at the blue skyyy!
There were people kayaking or paddle boarding, and of course, there were a lot of cute doggos around enjoying the park. As well, I did see a lot of couples taking photos here... and it's 99% the boyfriend/husband/SO taking photos of their female partner LOL
As of recently, I went to EXIT with a few friends and we had a blast. It's basically themed escape rooms and we only have 50 minutes to solve the puzzles. I think that day went perfectly too ♪♪♪ ヽ(・ˇ∀ˇ・ゞ) I made a reservation with EXIT to claim a specific time slot and room; however, on the day of the reservation, EXIT staffs called me and said the room that I wanted is having technical difficulties. So they gave me another room and we also got 30% off from our entrance fee. As well, we did use all our 50 minutes and we were still on the very last puzzle. The staffs saw us and told us we could have more time!! How sweet of them!?
Of course, after using our brain power, we went for dessert. Being "professional" foodie photographers, my friends and I got our ice creams to model for us and one of them started melting (luckily it wasn't ours LOL).
Before I went home, my dearest friend gifted me some baked goods. It was just regular brownies, not the special ones, and they were absolutely bomb. Thank you so much for the lovely brownies ( ˘▽˘)
And to wrap up the blog post and that EXIT night, have a photo of my milk tea and custard wheel cake. The wheel cake is amazing and I love this place so so so much. I promise I don't often eat that much sweets....
Until next blog post,
