Hello everyone, it's been like who knows, decades since I posted. 1) I was kind of burnt out from raiding, healing in Kefka makes me braindead at the end of the night. 2) FFXIV is dead. 3) Let me repeat, FFXIV is basically dead.
Though I would like to use the blog more, so I will probably be rambling about other things aside from XIV since I'm barely on now o: first of all, I need to dump some long over due XIV screenies and our clear shot (that was so last year). Did I mention how much I hate skulls during the fight? It's the worst?
Thank god we're done with this raid tier.
Rare, Neru, Sas and I also cleared POTD!!! Like finally!!!! Took us ages o: but we managed!
When Sas DC'd...
Here we are posing :3
SUUUUGOIIIIIIIIIII!!!!
And how could I ever forget? Someone has the worst fashion sense!
Speaking of XIV, Shadowbringer is coming out next summer of 2019. How many of you are actually excited for it? As for me, I'm iffy about the new expansion. After the third expansion, a lot of the older content has gotten pretty stale cause they're constantly recycling everything. But whenever they try to introduce new things, they tend to fail pretty badly; for example, does anyone remember that shitty ass Diadem?
What are some things you want to hope for for the new expansion? I would still give it another chance, but I'm feeling like it might be Disappointbringer. Maybe I am too cynical?
Besides me blabbing, what has everyone been up to ~? Feel free to comment on the blog or on discord! Here's a song I like to share LOL
The trailer got me hyped for potential lore and the MSQ. I haven’t been invested in SB’s story and it wasn’t until 4.4 that I became interested again. So I’m very curious for the potential buildup towards ShadowBringers in 4.5. Of course I always enjoy exploring the new zones with each expansion, but I'm seriously hoping the over world has value beyond leveling and getting through MSQ. Perhaps Blue Mage will fill part of that void? The concept is interesting and appeals to me since I do play a lot solo. But I would like to see the job evolve into being able to raid and such for those that desire that.
ReplyDeleteI'm giving this expansion a shot as well, but I'll be trying to go in with no expectations. My hope is that maybe they can successfully add content for non-raiders and raiders that's fun, challenging (not punishing) and has meaningful longevity. Whatever is planned for 5.0, I just hope it's compelling enough to keep people engaged and excited.
I'm with you in going into the new expansion without any expectations. I'm afraid of setting bars high and feeling utterly disappointed about the game. I'm hoping they add new contents that are more successful and more engaging, we seriously lack this. There are times where I want to play solo and do my weekly caps, but roulettes became a tedious chore + they get boring really fast.
DeleteBlue Mage seems interesting, but I would like to see some more new classes ~ personally, I'm hoping dancer. I'm very happy to see Viera being implemented, but my ideal class would definitely be dancer.
Dancer would be awesome to see and I hope you get your wish~ I remember you've mentioned it a few times. It's been asked for a lot so there's probably a good chance we'll see it. Are there any other jobs or things you'd like to see? And yes, pretty excited for Viera as well! :D
DeleteHmm I would be interested to see something brand new, more jobs relating to garleans. Geomancer and Beast Master would be nice to have too, but I can see Beast Master might be a little similar to summoner? I remember in the AST job quest, they were bringing up geomancers I think. Even from their brief descriptions of geomancers and made them sound like WHMs, I hope they come out some day and actually be different.
DeleteI'm hoping the build up to Shadowbringer would be good. Just like how shit hit the fan before HW, that was really well-written. So I'm hoping the story can grab the hook for me ~ I am looking forward to the revival of Ishgard. That city is so dead but I occasionally visit it just to explore more * ^ *
